My go to app for editing all of my cake photos!
As a cake maker, I take ALOT of photos. Each cake I make has at least 5 or more photos just so I can make sure I have all the angles and the features of the cake. I can then share them on social media. Unfortunately a lot of the time the lighting is poor, or there are things in the background we dont want there. And those sorts of photos aren't great for social media.
This app changes all of that. With the click of a few buttons you can really enhance and improve your photos!
So what is this amazing app?
The app is called Snapseed and its available on Android and IOS, and Windows and MAC.
It is a really powerful app, and honestly for my cake photos I don't use half of the functions, but what I do use, well its just incredible!

How much is it?
The best part about this app is that it is free! Yep, 100% free. No in app purchases or anything like that. So you have absolutely nothing to lose by trying it out.
Is it easy to use?
Yes! It really is. You just upload the photo you want to edit, click 'Tools' at the bottom of the screen and choose the function you want to use.
I recommend using the 'Tune Image' setting, or the 'curves' setting to begin with. The 'Tune Image' setting lets you control the exposure, highlights, shadows, saturation etc. And the 'Curves' setting has presets that change these for you and you just choose the one you like best.
Can it remove objects from the photos?
This has to be the best feature for me. So many times ive set the cake up and there is either a fire extinguisher on the wall behind, or boxes of decorations lying around. And they ruin the photo. Yes you cold try to move all the stuff out of the way, or move the cake for the photo and put it back again, but that takes time, and sometimes we need to deliver the cake and go.
So I use the 'Healing' function to remove the unwanted clutter from my photos.
As you can see, I removed the black cable from this photo and no its not perfect, but no one will notice because no one knew it was there to begin with!
